Two food recalls due to possible food borne illness
October 22, 2024, an investigation was started into an E. Coli outbreak linked to McDonald's Quarter pounders in 10 states, including Missouri. Most people report eating a quarter pounder hamburger from McDonald's before becoming sick.
If you have recently eaten at McDonald's and are experiencing symptoms of E. Coli, contact your healthcare provider. Symptoms can include diarrhea, high fever (higher than 102), vomiting, dehydration, stomach cramps. Symptoms usually start 3 to 4 days after eating the contaminated food.

There is a voluntary recall that includes frozen toaster waffle, belgian waffle, and pancake products from TreeHouse Foods, Inc for possible contamination of listeria. Including brands like kodiak cakes, best choice, always save, krusteaz, and more. These products have best buy dates from October 1, 2024 through October 11, 2025.
Listeria is a food borne illness that is especially harmful for young children, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems.
For a full list of brands, products, and UPC codes, check the FDA website. If you have one of these products in your home, you should throw it away or return it to the vendor you bought it from.
