CPR

About 92 percent of sudden cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital, but statistics prove that if more people knew CPR, more lives could be saved. Immediate CPR can double, or even triple, a victim’s chance of survival!

The health department has two certified CPR instructors through the American Red Cross. You can obtain a two year certification and a three year certification for first aid. We are also able to offer CPR certifications through the American Heart Association, for both Heartsaver and BLS certifications.  Classes are offered throughout the year and by request. Applicable fees may apply. Please contact the department for more information and watch our calendar of events, on our website, for upcoming CPR class dates!

For those who need a certification quickly, you are able to complete the online portion of the certification on your own, and come to our facility for your skills check off.  Applicable fees apply. Please schedule an appointment for a CPR skills check off and you will need to bring your online certificate.
